Sultan Arimi
Sultan Negara Antartik Dar-El Salj.

Shafie Apdal Meminta Orang Termiskin Berkorban?

Minta Orang Termiskin Berkorban?

Pertama sekali, pengorbanan nabi Ibrahim a.s. dan Ismail a.s. bukan berkaitan dengan peningkatan ekonomi luar bandar.

Satu Lagi Projek Kerajaan Barisan Nasional

Jadi Ismail, bagaimana sekarang? Letak jawatan sajalah.

Sabah isn't the poorest, can't it just NOT "poor"?

Now BN government of Sabah feels the heat of being poor. Even being poor isn't easy, really.

The previous report still hold to ground as it is not being retracted nor there is an apology from Jimenez until now. What we have here is just a denial from state's EPU.

It is the "misinterpretation of the third edition of MEM (World Bank Report)", according to Datuk Ismail Abdullah a must-be-somebody, but I-don't-know-him from state's EPU.

Ismail in such a haste, sound like he knows the MEM report better than World Bank's staff themselves. It is a "gross misinterpretation", he said. Ismail must be refering to World Bank Human Development Sector Director (East Asia and Pasific Region), Emmanuel Jimenez who was quoted in the news paper as saying that "Even though the level have gone down, the deep pockets of poverty are here in Sabah" and "Sabah has about 10 percent of the Malaysia population but more than 40 percent of all poor people in Malaysia live in Sabah".

Ismail then continues beating around the bush. According to him, there are actually a drastic reduction of incident of poverty from 50% in 1976 to 24.2% in 2004.

Yeah, that actually a hell lot of reduction, about 25.8%.

But with one problem. He was talking about the period of Said Keruak (1975 - 76) to Chong Kah Kiat (2003) in over 34 years. For the sake of conversation, let just call this as an itik period.

The concern actually is on last 16 years, when Sabah was already recognized as being the poorest state in Malaysia. To be precise, it is the period of 1994 - 2010, when BN took over the state' s administration by trickery and cheating means. At the time "vote BN for development" and everything-in-100 days kinda things were highlighted as high as the peak of mount Kinabalu. This, is an ayam period that we're actually talking.

Pity that while the talk is about ayam, he talks about itik. On how to compare these two different species, only god knows. I therefore suggest to Ismail to look into a longer period if he wants to see more convincing reduction rate of poverty in Sabah. How about starting from the period of North Borneo Chartered Company, 1881 - 2010? Statistically speaking, I believe the poverty reduction rate will be greater in 129 years.

Now, this is the most interesting fact. The incident of household poverty in Sabah, according to Ismail, has been reduced further from 24.2% in 2004 to 16.4% in 2009. You may question, why 2004, and or again, why not 1994? Just in case you don't remember, it is the year of Musa Aman became Chief Minister of Sabah. A CM that can reduce 7.8% in 5 years (2004 - 2009) at the rate1.56% annually, great. Masuk bakul angkat sendiri la.

Not the poorest, in compare to which states?

Should anybody says Sabah is not the poorest, it then needs to be compared some other states, or else it will just a baseless claim. Even I can claim that I'm the richest man in the planet, but the claim is without substance if it goes without proofs. And to prove that, at least I need to be compared with Bill Gates, Sultan of Brunei and the like. The same goes to Ismail,'s claim as he dare says that Sabah is not the poorest.

Lets look into state government publication projection on Sabah's level of poorness. The Outline Perspective Plan Sabah (OPPS) stated among other that "According to the Mid-term Review of the Sixth Malaysia Plan, Sabah will become the second poorest State in Malaysia in terms of per capita GDP if no corrective actions are taken".

So where are we now? The poorest, second poor or what?

Back to Ismail's "Sabah is not the poorest" claim, I wish to see Ismail to steps forward once again, this time along with a simple comparison table bearing the full ranking of 3 federal territories + 13 states = 16 states in Malaysia, if not it just a baseless claim without merit. I bet Ismail can do that as he is the top state economic planner.

Nevermind laa... poorest, second poorest, not the poorest; those thing point to the same thing, it means POOR.

Sabah, "Satu lagi Projek Kerajaan Persekutuan"

**Ulangtayang**

Ini adalah "Satu Lagi Projek Kerajaan Persekutuan".

Terdapat dua "Kejayaan" utama sempena 16 tahun pemerintahan UMNO / BN.

Negeri Peti Selamat BN.
BN Safe Deposit.

Ditatang bagai Anak Emas.
ANAK EMAS!
"Satu Lagi Projek Kerajaan Persekutuan".

Sabah Termiskin - Salah BN

Harap-harap tiada laungan suara-suara sumbang menyalahkan orang Sabah. Kesianlah kerana masih papa kedana. Janganlah hendak menyalahkan penduduk Sabah pula.Paling miskin maksudnya corot dalam aspek kekayaan.

Bak kata orang, umpama sudah terang hendak bersuluh.
Corot = Uncit.

Sungguh gah dilaungkan 16 tahun lepas. Toleh ke kiri, terpampang "Satu lagi projek kerajaan persekutuan". Toleh kanan, "Satu lagi projek kerajaan persekutuan". Tengok jamban curah kampung, semuanya biru belaka.

Jadi pemimpin pun berlompatan mengikut BN, macam semut mengurung gula.

Tetapi malang sungguh nampaknya.

Adakah istilah anak tembaga? Mungkin ini lebih tepat.

Sabah for Sabahans!

So, the people of Batu Sapi had spoken and the verdict had been delivered. They choose Barisan Nasional instead of Pakatan Rakyat, or SAPP. In Batu Sapi last night, it seems that fireworks wasn't necessary to celebrate BN success, the explosion of Musa's ego was enough to do the job. Speaking of ego, of course Yong and Ansari had to packed off with at least a blistering ego. each.

pix by malaysiakini

On the other hand, now people of Batu sapi people can enjoy reading this article anytime they want as the broadband coverage there reported to be good, thank to demise of the late Edmund Chong. A blogger said, a YB just have to die in order to benefit his people. Whatever.

What about the ever present issues that exist in every election, such as postal and phantom voters?

Hard to say, like cheating in poker games by having extra set of cards. The cheater can win every time because he controls the game. The only problem is other players are watching, and eventually there will be too many cards on the table, more than what it has suppose to be. Meaning, up to some point he can't cheat any longer.

A comfortable win for nevertheless, cheating or not. It is far beyond the strength of 1,500 odds postal voters that normally serves as a backup, just in case. Or may be this time BN was very sure of winning that they generously had given some of the postal votes to Ansari as a gesture, thats why Ansari got more than 3,000 votes.

Is slogan Sabah for Sabahans still valid?

Yes, it is, and always a valid issue. Only that for all this while, it was buried alive beneath Sabahans subconscious mind. It lays dormant because no one cares to become the taker, until SAPP rediscovers it.

Just think, 80% the first eight years of PBS's survival was heavily depending on it, the rest was leaning on the sentiment of kadazan-dusun. Never said it is null and void, PBS stand taller than everybody else in Sabah because it was firmly standing on the slogan, jangan jadi kacang lupakan kulit.

Because of the spirit of Sabah for Sabahans, Universiti Malaysia Sabah exists today.
Because of the same spirit, Sarawak's took the opportunity to established NTV7.

Whosoever willing to become a serious taker on the issue will undoubtly becomes noticeable on the spot, in this case it is SAPP who did it. Far from creating hatred among Malaysians, nor that it is unrealistic in today's context. It is forever relevant, as long as Sabah is part of Malaysia.

Quo vadis, SAPP? Sabah for Sabahans is still valid, but SAPP lost in Batu Sapi.

Well, its easy to pose questions and to analyse things that are already happened. Just look at a 4-digit result in the newspaper, anything that logical seems to be valid to form good combinations, but it isn't necessary make you rich.

I believe the lost is due to some reasons.

First, public are stunned with SAPP neo-interest for Sabah for Sabahan plight, and doesn't really know how to respond correctly. Public at large only heard about it on the eve of Batu Sapi election. Perhaps it meant to become the element of surprise, but it also left many Sabahans in confusion. Some even question the honesty of such move. Now that Batu Sapi election is over, SAPP need to address this as their main struggle to win the heart of majority of Sabahans.

Second, one must not undermine BN skill and knowledge as far as the Sabah for Sabahans issue is concerned. Since 1970s, Perikatan /USNO /UMNO /Berjaya /PBS /Barisan Nasional had came a long long way meddling trough it. They had tasted it both as the defender, and contender. PBS lived with the slogan for more than two decades. UMNO, on the other hand, had tried every known trick just to stop Sabahan from barking on the issue. Now that most of the remaining players are sitting comfortably in Barisan Nasional, they sure know how to deal with it to face just SAPP.

SAP does not come up with anything else yet, apart from pure sentiment and disgruntle. The slogan itself is closer to becomes slogan for the sake of slogan, just that. More groundworks necessary if SAPP wants to create impact especially toward the next general election. For goodness sake, do come up with a detail plan on how it wants to go about it so people will understand, instead of just saying it aloud or else people will think that it just a mere rethoric and simply disregard it.

None is happier than PKR...

Pity that Ansari only plunged twice into the sea. Seems every time he fell, he generates 1,500 votes. Twice means 1,500 x 2 = 3,000. Plunges the third time, the votes for PKR may increases to 1,500 x 3 = 4,500.

By now, PKR might thinks they have supporters more than SAPP. Wrong. Actually they have less supporters. Had it not because of DAP and Pas that eventually save it from humiliation, Ansari might had lost his deposit. See this picture.

pix by batusapi @ blogspot

I still believe that that PKR shouldn't even contest there. Please focus on the peninsula, strengthen your party and come back later to negotiate with SAPP. That's the gentleman's way of doing thing.

By the way, SAPP performance in Batu Sapi isn't bad at all, considering over 2,000 votes for it. SAPP is just a single entity, while BN consists of more than 15 political parties, and not less than 6 of them were in Batu Sapi, to assist PBS. It is 6-in-1 actually. And there are three parties in Pakatan Rakyat; PKR, Pas and DAP, so its 3-in-1. It never been a fair fight, neither its fair to assume a fairplay in any elections. Surely SAPP had taken this into consideration before joining the fray, weren't they?

Does UMNO needs kadazan votes?

Does UMNO needs kadazan, iban, bidayuh and murut votes? This is a valid question to ask since an UMNO guy said they don't need chinese and indian votes.

Yes, I know, the said video already boiled up in the internet since the last couple of weeks. But this surely is not an isolated case. The chain of events steadily indicate the similar pattern from time to time. We already heard about Ahmad Ismail 'genius' conclusion that chinese are pendatangs. Not long after that one Nasir Safar told us that Indian were beggars, while chinese were prostitutes.

Pendatangs, beggars and prostitutes. No wonder why Johari Ghani says he doesn't wants Chinese and Indians votes. Tell me who want pendatangs, beggars and prostitutes by the way

Full text available in this article, read on.

And oh, we have Ibrahim Ali and his survival politics with the whole new level ultra-right-wing view of PERKASA. If only PERKASA is a political party, I bet he is capable to emulates the Aussie's Pauline Hanson party of One Nation saga, some time ago.

It is a common knowledge that Umno is a malay-centric party, and Malaysia's socio-politics is clearly communal-based from birth. Johari managed to clearly explain the core of it in less than two minutes, good job Joe. (Joe is a tycoon, just in case that you didn't know. Not just an ordinary one, he is a big big towkay. Just remember him whenever you drink pepsi, miranda, F&N oren etc.,etc., he owns big chunk of share of the company, among other). Later he comes up with an excuse, the speech was delivered in a close door meeting. Here's the text in malay.

"...kemudian, tuan-tuan kena ingat

saya nak tuan-tuan bersama-sama saya

kita nak menang parlimen titiwangsa ni kita nak orang melayu, kita nak orang melayu

jangan kita sembah orang-orang cina dan orang-orang india kerana sebab

kita nak menang, jangan"

Please use google language to translate the above text into your native language.

This is what Umno all about for ages. A malay-centric party. Johary implicitly said that actually they don't want the Chinese and Indians. The problem is, according to him, whether you wan't it or not, as they are here, what you need to do is to just take it as it is. But always, it is best to just leave them alone.

Officially there are three main ethnic group in Malaysia; malays, chinese and indians. But from the thinking thought of Umno there are only two of them; malay and non-malay, that contains chinese, indians and other ethnics.

So either you are in or you out. As simple as that.

The focus is malay, malay and malay; over and above anything else.

Imagine if you change the two words of **chinese** and ** indian** with any ethnics as long as it **non-malay**, you may start with iban & kadazan, orang asli and bidayuh, dusun & kelabit.

Isn't it scarry, this Umno?

Maybe it is part of their genes by now. And malay-centric already becames one of our national heritage, albeit a bad inheritance.

God Save Malaysia!

Batu Sapi: Yong or Linda?

Highly likely, the real tussle in Batu Sapi is between Yong and Linda.

Lets forget the splitting hairs between Yong and Ansari by now.

Although Ansari clothes sure dries up already, probably he is busy fixing the wet and damaged handphones at the time being. Leave him alone, please. Unless of course, you people want him to gets wet another time, again.

There are countless bloggers cum political analysts on the net, and expressing their respective views on how the outcome of Batu Sapi might be. Some of them did a fairly good job, some lousy, like the article that you are reading right now.

But basically, when it comes to predicting the election result the basis are all the same. Political analysts refer to the voters distribution. To be specific, it is the ethnic distribution in Batu Sapi and past election results. That is how most analysis always started with 60% solid chances for BN, then the rest is for opposition.

Now, to further lower the opposition chances of winning, those 40% will have to be shared among them perhaps 25% to PKR and 15 % to SAPP because of three-corner fight. What an easy analysis, as usual BN always win. It can be understood as SAPP is just "spoiler", says Wan Azizah. But SAPP doesn't seems to agree with that.

Anyway, eventually no matter how good you are, the prediction chances to goes right will always be 50-50. When it comes right, the author said "I told you so" and if it goes wrong, "well" they say, "anything can happen out there". This way, they can never be wrong at all.

Having said that, I therefore aren't going to based my analysis on statistic this time.

I had asked the most trusted bomoh of mine on the election result.

Yeah, you read it correct. Bomoh. Shameful act uh?

Well what is all the fuss about getting bomoh view anyway. Bomoh advice can be accurate you know. Many politicians use bomoh service, tau sama tau lar. Even Taib Mahmud got the best bomoh for himself. When a girl named Siti Balqis gone missing, I bet her family had consulted bomoh too, but in this case the bomoh was proven to be wrong. What a lousy bomoh.

Nevermind. My bomoh said the chances is 50-50. When he said so, then it must be 50-50 chances between Yong and Linda. Unlike in peninsula, playing with racial card is out of question here as both of them are sabahan of chinese stock. And who care about racial issue anyway, here we have a distinct ethnic known as "sino-native" as the result of mix-marriage. Cina pun Sabahan juga maa..

Back to the bomoh, this is the first rule of consulting any of them. You must trust them as there is no point of seeing one if you don't. Anything they say must be right, as that is the way it should be. If they are proven to be wrong later, then it must be due to sabotage of other bomohs or some kind of spiritual beings blocking their view!

50-50 means Yong and Linda chances of winning are almost the same. The only problem is that how the ratio comes about. Is it based on the number of polling centers or voter's distribution in Batu Sapi? The two are different issues altogether actually, as shown in the past in Malaysia. Based on overall voter percentage, BN was actually lost at least in one General Election as you can read here.

But wait a second, something must not right here. There is no such thing as 50-50 result in any election. There must be only one winner, either Yong or Linda! My bomoh definitely is hiding something, and I know the reason why. He is a BN supporter, and I bet he, like most people do, think that I'm supporting the opposition. When he said 50-50, actually BN may slightly on the upper hand ~ he doesn't wants me to get upset by saying so. Aiyah, how can I got upset baliau, I'm not even a member of any political parties lah.

Ok, nevermind. 50-50 pun boleh la, at least there will be a fair fight in Batu Sapi. But put it this way, 50-50 isn't always a good news for SAPP, the challenger. Those who on defend of their domain will do whatever they can to prevent the takeover. Remember what Najib said about defending Putrajaya?

In the case of Batu Sapi, logistically speaking mighty BN certainly has an edge over certain type of voters, especially the last type which have been mentioned in my previous article, read here. It is up to SAPP on how to handle voters of this type to ensure success in Batu Sapi.

Good luck to both of you!
